WHAT IS SENG?
AN EXTENDED FAMILY
SENG is a nonprofit organization that empowers families and communities to guide gifted and talented individuals to reach their goals:
intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
Following the suicide of a gifted teenager, the late Dr. James T. Webb founded SENG in 1981 to offer the gifted community support and guidance through education, research, and connection. With the right intellectual and emotional support, gifted, talented, and twice-exceptional people can accept themselves and fulfill the potential of their incredible capabilities. Perhaps more importantly, they can learn to work with their high sensitivities to feel balanced, happy and at peace.
SENG is committed to providing a broad spectrum of inclusive and accessible support programs for gifted, talented, and twice-exceptional individuals, along with their parents/guardians, educators and anyone who supports the community. Here's a breakdown of our offerings:
Online SENG Community Groups (SCG)
We facilitate online SCGs where individuals and their families can connect, share experiences, and find support.
We offer training for those interested in leading their own SENG Community Group, empowering more localized support networks.
Online SENGinars
Our webinars feature leading experts discussing topics relevant to the gifted community, providing insights and knowledge.
SENGAuthor Interactive Interviews
Discover books that span the lifespan, focusing on the needs and challenges of gifted individuals, through interactive author interviews.
SENGChats
These safe, virtual spaces allow for discussions on a wide range of topics of interest to the gifted community, fostering connection and understanding.
Annual Community Conference
Our summer conference is a chance for the community to come together in a single location to learn, grow, and support one another in a fun environment.
