Looking for Students to Get Involved
SENG’s internship programs gives students real-world work experience by involving them in projects critical to the day-to-day work of our organization. Because students are a vital part of our future, SENG strives to provide a hands-on experience that gives a realistic preview of what it is like to work at a non-profit.We offer internships in:
- Marketing & Public Relations
- Fundraising and Development
- Program Management
- Event Management and Conference
Through our Internship Program, individuals gain professional non-profit experience and exposure to critical issues. Interns also have the chance to explore hands-on work at the local, national, and international levels, as they work with other SENG members across the world and develop a comprehensive perspective on our organization’s mission. Our internships additionally offer opportunities for networking and personal and professional development, including meetings with the SENG Board and SENG’s Executive Director.
Internship Cycle Timeline:
Based on a student’s availability and school schedule, internships can begin or end before or after the dates indicated below:
- Spring 2017: January – April
- Summer 2017: May – August
- Fall 2017: September – December
Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply the semester prior to their desired period of service. All positions are unpaid with applicants considered on a first come first serve basis.
We offer on-site and virtual internships, so you can work with us regardless of where you live! Please let us know if you have interest in interning with SENG in our office in Schenectady, NY. Online applications for all other internships will be available soon.
